![]() Hullo, Usually I use the scene converter to only convert standard cameras to physical cameras. Works great and a brilliant option but I sometimes run into a problem. Having the checkboxes are great but there's no option to convert standard materials to vray materials; it happens regardless. The problem is: if I have a huge scene with many materials and all I want to do is convert a camera or two, I have to wait for the entire scene's materials to be 'checked' even if there are no standard materials present. Could you add a checkbox for the material conversion process (even if it's on by default) so I can opt out of this process? Cheers, James. I would love to have a Vray converter which only works on selected objects/cameras/lights. The universal convert approach is almost always not intended in my workflows.2nd! While the universal convert is useful when starting a scene I inevitably merge something has standard materials that needs to be converted. I'm hesitant to run the script on the entire scene as I'm always worried about it making changes to something that I didn't realize still had standards mats on it and screwing up the scene. I usually save out just the offending object/material into an empty scene, run the script, and re-merge it back in. I have a scene that hangs when I try to convert it. The scene has proxies, displacement, and Forest Pro. I have tried three times and this last time I let site for 45 minutes. I'm running it because I'm getting errors. Not a big deal, but I need to crash out of it each time it hangs. Maybe, it'll eventually work, but who knows how long it'll take?i have to admit i had similar issues, it sometimes takes ages to convert huge scenes but i can always see its working down in the left side of the screen like running through all the maps so i know its stil working, for now i have had to copy out objects into blank scenes and convert them then copy them back into the main scene which is a pain in the ass but its the only way it works. How is this vray? I mean you preview your material in Max with a vray material and then you export that in a weird way. I have some researches about this: I want to convert 'real' Vray Materials without any editing for UE. Right now it's problem to install MENU, i will fix it later, just drag and. Universal Material Converter 4.0. Next to the material conversion, the script checks if there are duplicate. (looks a bit different as Vray lights and exposure.
